The recent passing of Elizabeth Edwards wife of now disgraced Presidential hopeful John Edwards reminds us once more about the desperate hope to find a cure for Breast Cancer. Elizabeth was a power-house in her own right but no match for the dreaded disease which took her life.
It can’t be stated enough how important a cure is, so many women are lost to this horrific condition each year and the numbers are growing. With all of the money and resources placed toward research and testing, it is just not enough.
Day after day we as a nation commit millions of dollars to various wasteful projects and organizations when those dollars could be spent to guarantee some real results for those that have breast cancer and all others that are potential victims.
Elizabeth Edwards was strong and courageous and fought a valiant fight against the disease, now we must do our part and continue that fight. It’s time for breast cancer to lose the fight this time, and time for women everywhere to live their lives the way it should be Happy and Healthy without the threat of breast cancer.
Elizabeth we are with you as you will always be with us, this fight is far from over.
