Do you remember that 8 year old that was selling lemonade on the corner? Well I got tired of his pan-handling on our street, so I called the cops and they threw him in jail giving him the same treatment as that street gang that’s been killing people on west 42nd street.
Sound familiar? If so you may want to find another blog to read because this ain’t gonna be your day. Where do these people get off? Calling the cops on a little boy or girl for selling lemonade at the corner? At one time during the 20s through the 50s, that was an American past-time just like baseball.
Now it’s a crime depending on which overly powerful arrogant snob’s neighborhood you live in, or which corrupt politician’s district your child has the mis-fortune of breathing the air from. And next The POLICE ? Are you kidding me?
Throughout the world our streets are littered with crime, you have your pick; rape, murder, gang violence, robbery, assault, and the list goes on and on. We look to the police to end the threats to our lives and to stand with us in protecting our communities, not bully and cart off our seven and nine year olds for selling someone a cup of lemonade on a street corner.
Even if the citizens and politicians don’t like children, police officers should be held to higher standard and avoid joining the rank and file of the hopelessly stupid.
For our readers we apologize for the temperament of this article, but enough is enough, as for the people my taxes pay to arrest real criminals, Not Children selling lemonade ? You are an embarrassment to the American way of life.
Once more, we here at Journal Nouveau apologize to our readers, someone within our company has endured a situation of this nature and she needed to be given a voice.
